Lumina has been growing and giving back its achievements over the years through charitable initiatives. We choose causes that we identify with and we get involved in projects as we do with our customers: with great dedication and welcome. We believe that investing in children’s education is the path to build a better and more sustainable future. For this reason, many of our actions are focused on this group.
Among our beneficiaries are the Instituto Anglicano, which develops education projects and has the largest daycare center in Latin America, offering five meals for a thousand children daily; Hospital Filantrópico Pequeno Príncipe, which is dedicated to the treatment of children in 32 medical specialties, and Constelação do Bem, group that distributes meals to communities and homeless people in the city of São Paulo.
In 2020, such a difficult year for the entire world, we welcomed another project, Associação de Assistência Familiar Teresa de Calcutá (AFATEC), an association that is dedicated to people in social vulnerability.
With more projects to support, we decided to go further: we officially created a social responsibility department. The purpose is to contribute even more to such relevant causes and to improving the quality of life of the communities that surround us.
And our first initiative could not be more special: we are going to celebrate Lumina’s 15 years with the “Do the 15” movement. From 15 km to 15 km, we will run to donate 15 tons of food to community projects.
